  Academic Strengths

Bryn Mawr's goal is to take students intellectually and imaginatively into worlds that they could never inhabit, worlds of past, of fiction, of nature, and thereby allow them to know themselves in a broader perspective. They will, during and after their college years, make major choices about what they want to learn and do, whom they want to know and love, and they shouldn't have to base those decisions on the particular set of experiences they happen to already have had.
